I enjoy reading threads where people honestly share what worked and what failed for them. Comfort around the heel and toes is more important than super fancy design. Nose pads that are too hard leave marks and feel uncomfortable on the skin. This is why I like reading and posting on forums and community websites. Loose hinges make the glasses slide down the nose again and again.
If anyone is interested in real user experiences, I sometimes write short notes about the shops I test.

When every picture has different colors or extreme filters, it is usually a bad sign. When a store shows clear shoulder width, bust, waist and length, it is much easier to choose. It is interesting to see how different people value different aspects of a product. Sometimes I even measure an existing frame with a ruler before ordering anything new. Smaller shops can be surprisingly friendly if they care about repeat customers. A product that still looks good after a few months is more impressive than something only good on arrival. For example, I compared cotton, polyester and mixed fabrics for similar clothing items. Loose hinges make the glasses slide down the nose again and again.
Maybe this is useful for someone.
